Opa's Ships Nationwide: How to Order Smoked Meats Online

For the customer who grew up with Opa's and moved away. For the family that discovered it on vacation and can't find it at their local grocery store. For the person whose friend brought a box back from Fredericksburg, Texas, and now they need their own supply. For the gift sender who wants to send something genuinely thoughtful, not a generic gift basket.

Opa's ships nationwide. Every product on the website, packed with care, delivered to your door.

Here's how it works and where to start.

How It Gets to You

Every refrigerated order is packed in a reusable insulated foam container, placed inside a recyclable cardboard shipping box, and loaded with gel packs to keep products cold and fresh during transit. The packaging is built to protect quality from the time the box leaves Fredericksburg to the time it arrives at your door.

Shipping days are planned carefully to avoid packages sitting in transit over a weekend. Texas orders ship Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday by ground service. Out-of-state orders ship Monday and Tuesday by 2-day service. Overnight shipping is available for customers who prefer faster delivery.

If your order contains only non-meat products that don't require refrigeration, it ships by standard ground service on any available shipping day.

The schedule is intentional — it's designed so your order arrives before the weekend rather than spending extra time in a warehouse or on a truck. When the box shows up at your door, the products inside should be cold and ready to go straight into the refrigerator.

Where to Start

If you've never ordered from Opa's before and you want the full picture in one box, start with the Sausage Sampler. Six smoked sausages spanning the core lineup — Jalapeño Cheddar, Country Blend, Beef, Jalapeño, Hatch Green Chile, and Chicken Poblano Monterey Jack Smoked Sausage — plus two jars of mustard. It's the best way to taste what the brand is about without guessing which one to try first.

If you already know what you like, the full lineup is available as individual products — sausages, tenderloins, hams, summer sausage, cured meats (jerky), Canadian bacon, peppered bacon, turkey legs, and whole smoked chickens. Order exactly what you want, in the quantity you want. There's no minimum order.

For a bigger introduction, or for someone who wants to go beyond sausage, the curated combo boxes cover more ground:

Ultimate Sampler — the widest selection of Opa's products in one box.

Sausage Trifecta — three of the most popular sausage varieties.

Breakfast Combo — ham, Canadian bacon, peppered bacon, and sausage for a morning spread (the peppered bacon arrives raw — it cooks up at home).

Cured Beef/Turkey Combo — our tender, higher-moisture take on jerky: cured smoked beef and turkey for the cooler, the road, or the desk drawer.

Peppered Smoked Tenderloin Combo — one beef, one pork. The premium gift option.

Oktoberfest Combo — bratwurst and accompaniments for a German-inspired evening.

Everything that ships, except the bulk cases, is available as a subscription — more on that below.

Sending Opa's as a Gift

A box of Opa's arriving at someone's door says something that a gift card or a flower arrangement doesn't. It says you know what good food is, you thought about the person receiving it, and you wanted them to have something they'd actually remember eating.

Every gift order includes a personal message card. During the holiday season, a keepsake ornament goes in the box. The packaging itself is part of the experience — when someone opens a box and sees Opa's products packed cold and ready, it lands differently, it's unique and memorable.

The Sausage Sampler and the Peppered Smoked Tenderloin Combo are two of the most popular gift items — the sampler for people who haven't tried Opa's yet, the tenderloin combo for people who already know what they like and will be genuinely impressed by what arrives. Digital gift cards are also available — the right call for someone you trust to pick their own favorites.

Corporate Gifting

For businesses looking to send something memorable to clients, employees, or partners, Opa's offers corporate gifting options through the website — including volume pricing for larger orders.

Smoked meats from a Fredericksburg family business that dates to 1947 land differently than the usual branded merch or fruit basket. They're the kind of gift people talk about at the office, share at home, and remember the next time your name comes up. If you're sending to multiple addresses or need help coordinating a larger order, reach out directly — the team can help make it simple.

Subscriptions: Keep It Coming

For customers who don't want to remember to reorder — or for anyone who wants to send a gift that keeps arriving — Opa's offers curated subscriptions.

Choose your cadence: every 4, 8 or 12 weeks, at 5% off. Subscriptions are prepaid before each shipment, renew automatically, and can be changed, skipped or canceled up to 48 hours before the ship date. They're also giftable — which makes them one of the strongest ongoing gift options for birthdays, holidays, thank-yous, or just because.

Everything that ships, except the bulk cases, is available with a subscription option at checkout. Pick your favorites, set the frequency, and it shows up at your door on schedule. No hunting for the reorder button. No forgetting to stock the freezer. Just Opa's, on time, every time.
